BRIEF
The client had recently completed an extension to their existing home and wanted to create a garden with greenhouse and vegetable garden to complement the period house and country surroundings
DESIGN
Having decided on a beautiful greenhouse from Alitex. We worked through some ideas on where it would be located, to incorporate a formal lawn, cut flower borders and a vegetable garden and well as an area to sit out.
Careful consideration on materials was important to reflect the history of the house and also the surroundings. Woven brick, Yorkstone and Breedon gravel all worked well to create the hard surfaces and new oak beams created rustic vegetable beds.
The real highlight of this garden was the planting! Instant fully grown Hornbeam hedging gave height and structure and a combination of floral colour and grasses really brought the garden to life. The result was a garden that, even in its first year, looks as though it has been there forever.
